Whittier Elementary School focuses on developing successful students who will become effective contributors to the community. The school boasts a highly diverse multi-cultural population of students.

Whittier is a uniform school. Tops and bottoms must be solid colors (no logos) in the following colors: red, white, khaki, navy, and black. Students can not wear the same color on top and bottom. Items must follow normal school guidelines for length and be in good repair. Jeans are not allowed. Socks and tights must be in solid uniform colors.

In addition to uniform colors, official school shirts are allowed. PTA sells Whittier spirit shirts, which can be worn as part of the uniform. Contact Whittier PTA to get more information or visit with the PTA representative during Registration, Back to School Night, or other school events.
A uniform exchange is conducted in the fall.
After School Programs
Whittier does have an after school child care program. The program is fee based and is based on availability.
